Meet The Artist:
Jane Schmaltz earned a B.A with a major in art from Valparaiso University. Although her background was in oils, she currently uses acrylics and watercolor and has experimented with many other media – stained glass, calligraphy, metal tooling. Over the years, she has attended many classes and workshops, locally at Dillman’s Creative Arts Foundation and Marywood. Jane has won awards for her artwork at the Manito Art League Art Shows and served as league president for two years.
The Manito Art League is a non-profit organization founded in 1965 and dedicated to the development of the visual, creative and performing arts in our region. We are open to the general public. The MAL holds an annual Art Show in July (July 15-18, 2010), as well as monthly workshops (May-Oct).
